The job market is filled with tech jobs, but not every position is suitable for every individual. Instead of applying to each and every one of them, it is important to read the requirements and see if your resume matches what the job entails. Too often applicants send resumes for jobs that they know are not the right match, but out of desperation and in the hope of being called for an interview, they send their information. The truth is, most of these resumes go into a database and only those which come up based on the employers search criteria, have any chance of being viewed. Employers only see your resume, which is a summery of your experience and achievements, and often that is just not enough.

It is highly recommended that you attach a cover letter with your resume, whenever you have the chance to do so. A cover letter can help an employer learn a little more about you and once they see that you have taken the initiative to send additional information, they will pay more attention to your submission. If you are just out of college, it is advised that you seek entry level positions, as you will have a better chance at getting an interview. Other than searching for yourself, you should also try to find a recruiter who can help you achieve your dream jobs. Many organizations are known to post open positions with recruiters, which in turn, limits the amount of work they have to do. Once the selection process is completed, your next step will be to attend the actual interview and help your potential employer realize your importance.
